Police have issued images of a man in connection with a sexual assault in Liverpool city centre last month.
A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in the Mathew Street area at around 8.10pm on May 2 by a man she met outside the Remeniss bar.
Extensive CCTV and witness enquiries have been conducted and CCTV images from the evening of the incident have been issued as part of the investigation.
It is believed a man dressed in a bridal costume who was among a group of other men in fancy dress could help assist police with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Jemma Berry said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim who has been supported by our officers during the investigation.
“We take reports of any sexual assaults in our city centre very seriously and our detectives are working hard to ensure that the person responsible is identified so we can continue to make Merseyside a safer place to visit and work.
“I am appealing to anyone who remembers being at the bar on Saturday 2 May and recognises this man or knows who he is to please contact us. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
