A woman has died after a fall at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Merseyside Police were called to the West Derby facility at around 1.15pm on Tuesday (March 31) after reports that a woman had fallen from an on-site car park.
She sustained serious injuries in the incident but was sadly pronounced deceased.
Police have informed the woman’s next of kin and confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances ahead of a file being prepared for the coroner.
“We can confirm that a woman has passed away following an incident at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital yesterday, Tuesday 31 March,” read a force statement.
“At around 1.15pm, officers were called to Alder Hey Hospital to reports of a woman falling from a car park at the location. She was sadly pronounced deceased.
“Her next of kin are aware. There are no suspicious circumstances, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
