A pensioner suffered serious injuries in a match day road crash outside Anfield.
The 79-year-old man was involved in the collision on Oakfield Road at around 6.40pm on Sunday (March 15) shortly after the Liverpool v Tottenham game.
He suffered serious injury to his ankle and leg in the incident while the driver of the car, a Range Rover, stopped at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which can assist with their investigation.
Constable Anthony Holden said: “This was a serious collision, and we’re keen to speak to any witnesses as a result.
“The male pedestrian suffered a serious ankle and leg injury.
“The incident happened while fans were leaving the stadium and were walking along Oakfield Road.
“There were numerous people around who will have seen what happened and any information, no matter how small, could help the investigation.
“If you were passing the location and saw or captured the incident on CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage then please share this with police.”
