A Liverpool branch of Smyths Toys has been targeted in an early morning raid.
Police were called to the North Liverpool Retail Park on Portal Way in Fazakerley at around 6.55am on Monday (December 29) after reports of a break-in at the store.
Officers attended the scene and formed a cordon around the store while they began to investigate but are yet to determine whether anything had been stolen.
CCTV and forensic enquiries are in the process of being carried out.
Detective Inspector Lee Egerton said: “The investigation is in the early stages and enquiries are being carried out.
“I would ask anyone who saw any vehicles or people acting suspiciously in the area of Portal Way in the early hours of this morning or has any further information to assist us to get in touch.”
