Police have made a second arrest over the shooting of a man in Huyton.
The incident took place just before 10.20pm on Friday, November 28 when a local man was shot twice in the leg on the driveway of an address on Radway Road.
A victim in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his leg from the attack, which was reportedly carried out by two men riding on a Sur-ron bike.
Detectives previously detained a 31-year-old man from Nottingham, who has been conditionally bailed, on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
A 35-year-old man from Allerton has now been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, Section 18 wounding; criminal damage and possession of cannabis.
He has also been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Chris Clark said: “This investigation is progressing, and this second man is now under investigation.
“However, we are still keen to speak to anyone with information who has not yet made themselves known.
“What you know could still prove vital in bringing those responsible to justice, and please do not assume that we already hold this information.
“Our team will make that assessment, and take the appropriate action. Whether you have a first-hand account, dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or other footage, come forward.”
