A man who sneaked onto the pitch at Hill Dickinson Stadium has been charged.
Internet prankster Daniel Jarvis lined up alongside Australia’s players before their rugby league Ashes test with England at the stadium on Saturday (November 1).
The 37-year-old was stood next to Cameron Munster while their country’s national anthem was played before being he was detained by police at around 2.30pm.
Jarvis, from Gravesend in Kent, was arrested on suspicion of possession of articles for use in fraud and fraud by false representation before being taken for questioning.
He has now been charged with disrupting a person engaged in a lawful activity and remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday.
Australia ran out 14-4 winners in the second test with England at Everton’s home.
