The date for Brookside’s special return episode has been confirmed.
Several familiar faces will return to the Liverpool housing estate that was home to the iconic soap for a crossover to mark the 30th anniversary of Hollyoaks.
Sue Johnston, Ricky Tomlinson, Paul Usher and Michael Starke are among those who have reprised their roles in the now residential street for the one-off special.
Channel 4 have confirmed the episode will air on E4 at 7pm on Wednesday, October 22.
Brookside ended in November 2003 after a 21-year run during was responsible for some of the most hard-hitting storylines first witnessed in UK television history.
Louis Emerick has teased the storyline plot as the actor who played Mick Johnson in the original show and is now portraying detective Donny Clark in Hollyoaks.
He said: “Well, the character of Froggy Black recently arrived [in Hollyoaks] and is rattling Donny’s cage because he knows a big secret Donny’s been hiding.
“All is not as it seems and we can safely say it’s connected to the Brookside crossover.
“The house of cards is going to start collapsing.”
