Two arrested after man stabbed in Old Swan

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Old Swan.

The 50-year-old was treated by paramedics at the scene following the incident on Moscow Drive at around 11.10am on Sunday (October 12).

He was later taken to hospital.

Police detained a 54-year-old man from Liverpool on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.

A 76 year old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They are still in police custody to be questioned.

Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “The use of knives has devastating consequences, not only for the victim and their family but also for the offenders involved.

“Although two arrests have been made, we urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or captured the incident on dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage which may be vital to the case to please get in touch.”
