Man charged over Kensington attack

A man has been charged over a domestic attack in Kensington.

Police were called to Pythian Close just before 8.25pm on Friday to reports a woman had suffered chest and facial injuries after an assault in the street.

The victim in her 30s remains in hospital where her condition is described as critical.

A 48-year-old man from Kensington was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody for questioning.

Olamuyiwa Otti, 48, of Pythian Close has been charged with attempted murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday.
