A man has been charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Liverpool last year.
Peter Douglas, 72, was killed during the incident on King Edward Street, close to the Crowne Plaza hotel, in the city centre on September 15, 2015 after he was hit by a car driven by Daniel Rowson.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that 21-year-old will face charges of death by dangerous driving when he stands trial at Liverpool Magistrates Court.
Rowson, of Tower Hill, has been bailed until the hearing on August 24.
