Over 30 per cent of children in Liverpool are living in poverty, mind a new report has revealed.
According to the report released today the number of children under the age of 16 who live in poverty in Liverpool is significantly below the England average.
The England average is 18.6% whilst the number of children in Liverpool who live in poverty is much higher at 31.6%.
Speaking of the overall report Lib Dem Leader Cllr Richard Kemp said ” This should serve as a wake up call to everyone in Liverpool from the Council and HealthS ervice through to parents and communities”,
