Six World War 2 bombs found at Pall Mall site

Merseyside Police have implemented a cordon for the third time in two days after more World War 2 bombs were found.

Police are in attendance following the discovery of three
further suspected unexploded WWII bombs. These are in addition to two that had been removed yesterday and one removed this morning.

As a safety precaution a 200m cordon has been put back in place on Pall Mall and neighbouring business premises have been evacuated.

At this stage the discovery has not been confirmed and bomb disposal
officers are en route to the scene.

Pall Mall is closed at the junction with Leeds Street and traffic
diversions have been put in place.
