One of Liverpool’s busiest commuter routes was closed for a second time today after the discovery of a third World War 2 bomb.
Police were in attendance following the discovery of a third suspected unexploded WWII bomb. Yesterday the bomb disposal team attended at the same location following the discovery of two suspected unexploded WWII bombs, they assessed and removed the items from the scene.
As a safety precaution a 200m cordon is currently in place on Pall Mall and neighbouring business premises have been evacuated.
At this stage the discovery has not been confirmed and bomb disposal officers are en route to the scene.
Pall Mall is closed at the junction with Leeds Street and traffic diversions have been put in place.
