Police are investigating a multiple stabbing outside a West Derby petrol station.
Officers arrived at the scene, which took place near the Larkhill filling station on Queens Drive at around midnight, hospital to discover three men suffering with injury wounds.
The three victims, ampoule aged 23, 26 and 42, were taken to hospitals across Merseyside for treatment, with the latter preparing to undergo additional surgery.
A silver Ford Focus Titanium saw seen being driven away from the scene in what detectives from Merseyside Police are treating the incident as a targeted attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Mahon said: “We believe this was a targeted attack and our investigation into who is responsible and why they did this is still at a very early stage.
“The men who were attacked have suffered serious but thankfully not life-threatening injuries and they are being treated at local hospitals.
“We believe they have been stabbed and we hope to be able to speak to them to establish how and why this happened.
“Although it was very late at night there may have been people using the petrol station nearby or driving along Queens Drive who saw the incident or the silver Ford Focus driving off.”
