Steven Gerrard set to quit Los Angeles in favour of Liverpool return

Steven Gerrard will reportedly quit his life in Los Angeles in favour of a Merseyside homecoming.

It was claimed today that Gerrard, 35, is keen to return to his native Liverpool after tiring of his time on America’s West Coast.

The Liverpool FC legend joined LA Galaxy on an 18-month deal last summer but recently told the MLS club’s fans that he would go back to his roots ‘sooner rather than later’.

A source told The Daily Mirror “Stevie’s plan was always to come back. He and (wife) Alex took some of their close friends to LA with them but they’re finding it tough.”

“He’s been offered a job and could be back as soon as August or September. Stevie’s plan was always to come back and get into management”
