Merseyside Police have uncovered a cannabis farm containing an estimated 120 plants following a raid at Knowsley Industrial Estate.
Police executed a warrant to raid a premises on the industrial estate, ambulance off Birchall Road, at around 8.30am this morning.
After entering the Police discovered the former industrial unit had been modified to facilitate specialised cannabis growing equipment, and significant criminal efforts had been made to conceal the farm.
Police estimated that the farm could have a yearly yield of £480,000, and confirmed that specifically trained officers were currently removing the plants and dismantling the growing equipment.
Police are continuing their investigations and an update is expected to be announced shortly.
