Man charged over McDonald’s shooting

Officers have today charged a 32 year old man with attempted murder following a shooting at the McDonalds Drive-thru in Bromborough on 18th June.

David Pugh, 32, was arrested yesterday (20th June) and has since been charged this morning (21st June) with attempt murder and possession of a firearm. He has been remanded in custody to appear at court tomorrow (22nd June).

Detective Inspector Sabi Kaur from the Firearms Investigations Team said: “I am extremely grateful to the members of the public who have assisted in this case, those who have provided dashcam footage, statements and other information have been instrumental in this investigation.

“Gun crime will not be tolerated on the streets of Merseyside and we will do everything in our power to remove dangerous weapons from our streets.”
