The bodies of a father and daughter have been found in a property in Crosby.
Emergency services were called to a house on College Road just after 4pm on Sunday following concerned reports about the welfare of the two tenants, medicine who had not been seen for a number of days.
Upon arrival at the scene the joint Merseyside Police, Mersey Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service team discovered the bodies of an 85-year-old man and his 47-year-old daughter.
Merseyside Police have launched an investigation into their deaths, with both currently being treated as unexplained.
Post-mortems will now be carried out to examine the cause of death for the victims but police stress that at this stage, there has been no indication that the deaths are suspicious.
