A 38-year-old man has been charged with murder after a stabbing in New Brighton on New Years Day.
The victim, 52-year-old Mark Roberts, died from a single stab wound.
Police were called to a flat on Rakersfield Road at 10.25pm on New Years Day. The victim was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
38-year-old Ian Martyn Holden has been charged with murder and will appear in front on Magistrates tomorrow (Monday, January 6).
