Man in serious condition following Rainford Bypass crash

A Liverpool man is in a serious but stable condition following a crash on the Rainford Bypass.

Emergency services were called to the Ormskirk Road scene at around 4.15pm yesterdy afternoon, generic with a male motorcycle rider taken to hospital by air ambulance after sustaining serious wounds after a collision with a Peugeot car.

Police cordoned off the surrounding area and the Rainford Bypass was closed as a 23-year-old female driver was treated for shock and a cut to the head. The woman was also cut from her car by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

The 39-year-old male, hospital meanwhile, ambulance is currently being treated for two suspected broken arms and a suspected broken leg. The Rainford Bypass is remains closed in both directions.
