Three girls filmed kicking and punching another girl to the ground have been arrested by Merseyside Police.
Shocking footage of the incident went viral on social media and shows three girls dragging their distressed victim to the ground of a street in Bootle. Two of girls who have been arrested are said to be sisters.
The three girls repeatedly punch the 14-year-old victim in the head before dragging her down to the floor.
The girl is cowering as the three girls take it in turns to lay kicks and punches on to the teenager.
At one point one of the girls says “bounce her head against the wall”.
