X Factor singer Chloe Baker’s former partner has today been jailed for 16 months, after he brutally assaulted her in Liverpool city centre last year.
Sean Zeisz, 20, was in a relationship with Miss Baker at the time of the attack in October 2015 on Stanley Street.
During his trial, the Court heard that Mr Zeisz launched an unprovoked attack on the singer during a taxi journey out of the city centre.
The incident left Miss Baker with substantial bruising to her face, with one of her eyes almost completely swollen over, she later posted inmates if her injuries online.
Mr Zeisz’s defence claimed that his actions were out of character and the result of excessive drug taking that evening.
However Judge Cummins at Liverpool Crown Court took very little sympathy when imposing a custodial sentence this afternoon, despite Mr Zeisz’s guilty plea.
