Merseyside drugs gang sentenced to combined 50 years imprisonment

Members of a Merseyside gang that dealt cocaine and amphetamine across England and Wales have been jailed for a minimum of 50 years following a trial at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday afternoon.

Seven members of the group, shop who had cocaine, diagnosis amphetamines and thousands of pounds in cash, flash cars and even seized during on homes in the north west England and South Wales in July, received sentences ranging from four to twelve years at the high-profile trial.

However, alleged leader, MMA fighter Paul ‘Boom Boom’ Cahoon, is still on the run from police, with a Titan unit tracking the movements of the 38-year-old from Rainhill, believed to be in Dubai.

Speaking during sentencing, Judge Steven Everett said: “Drugs are one of the great evils of our society.

“You, all in your different ways, played a part in flooding the local market and further afield to South Wales with these evil drugs.

“You need to reflect long and hard, it seems to me, on the misery you inflict.

“None of you gave any thought to the misery you were going to bring. All you could see was the money you were going to make.

“What a terrible approach to life.”
