Two women critical after Liverpool city centre crash

Two women are in a critical condition after a serious road crash in Liverpool city centre.

Police were called to Catharine Street close to Upper Parliament Street at 9.45pm on Monday night following reports that a BMW motorbike had collided with a pedestrian.

Emergency services took both women to hospital, where their injuries were described as critical, before the road was reopened at 5.30am on Tuesday.
