A teenage boy will appear in court charged with a racist attack in Norris Green.
The 16-year-old from Clubmoor is set to stand before Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates Court on Wednesday after being charged with the Section 18 offence.
Detectives arrested the boy after an incident in Broadway on the morning of December 28 in which a 38-year-old man had been attacked by three males.
The victim was taken to hospital with significant injuries to his upper body and head where his condition at the time was described as serious but stable.
Two other men, both aged 15 and from Norris Green, were arrested in connection with the incident and are still being questioned by detectives.
