A Kirkby man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mark Hillman.
The 22-year-old is set to be questioned in police custody in connection with the father-of-three’s fatal shooting in Lloyd Close on April 27.
Two other people are currently awaiting trial in connection with killing Mr Hillman. Brandon Bilsborough and Connor Hunt, both 18, have denied murder.
A third man, Paul John Smith, will also stand trial on January 12 next year charged with assisting an offender and wounding with intent.
It later emerged that Hillman, 26, had required hospital treatment after being slashed in the face in a separate incident just hours before he was shot in Everton.
