Police have issued CCTV images of a man they believe could help with their enquiries after an allegation of threatening behaviour.
The incident took place on Burns Avenue in Wallasey at around 4.30pm on November 6 when threats were made to a man by another man.
Two others arrived at the scene in a black Mercedes and made further threats to the victim, who was not injured and all three males left the scene.
There is no suggestion that the man in the images was involved but was walking his dog along Burns Avenue at the time and may have been a witness to the incident.
Detective Constable Nick Moore said: “This man is not in any trouble, and is not a suspect in our enquiries
“But we believe that he may have been a witness to the incident and could assist with our investigation.
“He was walking a small dog, possibly a Yorkshire terrier, and may live in the local area.
“I would appeal to the man, or anyone who knows him to come forward and assist with our investigation.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2264 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
