To help raise funds, the charity’s founder Tani Omideyi has organised an event this weekend featuring gospel artists such as Muyiwa and the Reaper Choir.

Members of the community can join in the two-day event which will take place across two days on December 3 and 4, beginning with an evening concert.

Tani said: “I’m really excited about the sing-a-thon and I’m counting down the days until it begins.

“We’re so grateful to have the support of the local community, including Liverpool and Everton FC and the Hillsborough families over our many years in Anfield.

“As a tribute to the community and our city, the Love & Joy Gospel Choir will also be announcing their plan to record and release some of the songs they have performed at the Hillsborough memorial service over the last 10 years.

“We will fight to keep helping the local community but for the next few months we need a little help to do that. Please support our appeal if you can at: support.singingtosave.com.”
