A teenage boy is among three people arrested after a man was stabbed to death in Walton.
The 16-year-old from the area was detained on suspicion of murder after emergency services were called to Milman Road at 9.50pm on Saturday.
A 51-year-old man was treated at the scene for a stab wound under his arm but pronounced dead from his injuries after being taken to hospital.
Two other people, a man aged 46 and a 37-year-old woman, also from Walton, were arrested on suspicion of murder. All three remain in police custody.
Forensic examinations are taking place in and around City Road which has seen several road closures as motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
