A woman has been found dead at a flat in Liverpool city centre.
Emergency services made the discovery in the Chinatown area on Thursday afternoon following reports that the body of a 19-year-old had been found.
They were called to an address in Nelson Street at around 1.45pm where the women, healing who is believed to be a student, was found.
She has yet to be formally identified as officers attempt to trace her next of kin but police are not currently treating her death as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Downing, who own the building, said: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm the sudden death of one of our residents on November 17.
“Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with family and friends at this difficult time.
“Our team is currently providing support and assistance to affected students.”
