The Chicago Bears are set to host a special fan event in Liverpool city centre.
Taking place at the Royal Albert Dock on Sunday, June 21, the iconic NFL franchise will mark its fifth consecutive year of community activity across the United Kingdom.
Running from 11am to 6pm at Anchor Courtyard, the free event will give visitors the chance to meet the Bears’ current cornerback Josh Blackwell in person.
Super Bowl XLI finalist Charles ‘Peanut’ Tillman is also set to attend alongside beloved mascot Staley Da Bear and a Liverpool FC legend set to be confirmed.
Alongside the star appearances, attendees can enjoy photo opportunities, giveaways and a range of family-friendly activities, creating a unique celebration of two of sport’s most recognisable teams in one of Liverpool’s most iconic waterfront locations.
Following the fan event, the Chicago Bears will continue their work in Liverpool through a series of Bears Flag clinics on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23, introducing young people to flag football, the non-contact format of the game.
This is part of the Bears’ commitment to make the sport more accessible, inclusive and engaging for young people.
The events across Liverpool follow visits to the Midlands, London, Manchester and Loughborough earlier this month.
This is the fifth year that the Chicago Bears have visited the UK demonstrating their ongoing commitment to growing American football through the NFL’s Global Markets Program.
