Liverpool Airport still rated among UK’s best

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is still ranked as one of the UK’s best airports.

This year’s Which? annual survey saw the Speke terminal rank narrowly miss out on top spot for a third year running as it was pipped by Exeter Airport in the standings.

Almost 6,000 passengers were asked for their opinions on airport experiences over the previous 12 months and rating them across 10 different categories.

These included customer service, wait for baggage, security queues and availability of seating as well as range of shops and food outlets.

LJLA racked up a customer satisfaction score of 78% with travellers giving its security, check-in and bag drop a five-star rating.

John Irving, LJLA’s CEO, said: “After a period involving a host of developments and improvements, it’s a tremendous achievement to once again be acknowledged by the travelling public as one of the best airports in the UK and to be a Which? Recommended Provider for the fourth consecutive year.

“We’ve just had our busiest summer ever with passengers enjoying our renowned passenger experience and today’s news is something that everyone who works here is really proud of and is a reflection of all the hard work put in by our staff alongside our dedicated third-party operators.”
