Taking The New easyJet and Ryanair Routes From Liverpool Airport

Ryanair and easyJet have just announced new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport this winter and for summer 2027, which is great news for Liverpool locals. You can fly directly to around 80 non-stop destinations from Liverpool, so it’s great to see airlines introducing new routes.

Jet2 has also just put its 27/28 Christmas market programme on sale, so now has never been a better time to book your next break.

The New Ryanair and easyJet Routes From Liverpool Airport

Ryanair and easyJet have recently confirmed eight winter routes between the two airlines, with Ryanair opening up opportunities to fly to six new winter destinations, and easyJet introducing two new routes for summer 2027.

The Ryanair New Routes Announcement

Ryanair made its announcement as part of the new winter 2026/27 routes, including 22 new routes from airports across the UK. The Liverpool routes are as follows:

  • Milan Bergamo, Italy: Two flights a week. Bergamo Airport provides access to Bergamo and Milan.
  • Copenhagen, Denmark: Two flights per week starting from 26 October 2026.
  • Gdańsk, Poland: Two flights a week, which is excellent news after Wizz Air previously served Liverpool–Gdańsk but ended the route in March 2026.
  • Porto, Portugal: Not entirely a new Liverpool route, but Ryanair confirmed flights will be available in winter.
  • Tirana, Albania: Again, not a new route, but the winter schedule changes to two times weekly, down from four times weekly.
  • Warsaw, Poland: Warsaw was introduced in summer 2026, and Ryanair confirms the route will remain in winter.

Although some of these are already active routes, it’s great news that they will continue throughout winter. They’re also increasing frequencies on existing routes to Kraków, Kaunas, and Cork.

easyJet Route Announcement

easyJet is also adding completely new Summer 2027 routes: Girona, Spain, launching on 28 March 2027, and Murcia, Spain, launching on 29 March 2027.

Hopefully, they will add more new routes in the future. They did announce 18 routes in total, flying from a range of UK airports.

Flying From Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Flying from Liverpool John Lennon Airport is really easy for locals. The airport has all the facilities and amenities you need, starting with plenty of parking options, from a Meet & Greet that puts you right outside the airport to mid-stay and long-stay car parks a little further away.

You can save a lot of money on Liverpool Airport parking by booking in advance through a comparison site, rather than turning up and paying on the day. All parking options are fully vetted, secure facilities, and you can take one of the regular free shuttle buses into the airport itself.

Despite being a relatively small airport, you still have all the essential airport luxuries inside, from Upper Crust and Burger King to Monty’s All Day Diner. Sadly, there’s no airport Wetherspoons, but you can have a pre-flight drink in the Kissing Gate Pub & Kitchen.

The new routes are now open for booking, just in time for a winter break or securing a summer 2027 bargain. Hopefully, it’s the first of many announcements to come that’ll help open up the world for locals in Liverpool.
