Sports bet lovers would be excited with the recent news of Thomas Tuchel taking the mantle of leadership in one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Chelsea recently confirmed the sacking of Frank Lampard who struggled to keep the blues in the top 3 spots in the League table since the 2020 season kicked off.
This should gladden the hearts of not only Chelsea fans who want to see the blues at the top again, but also gamers looking for better betting odds for the blues. With as few as two wins in the last 8 matches, the odds are less likely to be in Chelsea’s favour.
With the recent improvement and the tenacity of a successful coach like Tuchel, things are expected to turn out positively for the club. Fans and gamers are looking forward to staking big on Chelsea games in top gambling hubs like Bogdan online casino.
It is no surprise that Thomas Tuchel was the favourite for the job as the German had landed an impressive title win with French side PSG in the 2019/2020 season.
Talking to the press about his new job, Tuchel said: “I would like to thank Chelsea FC for their confidence in me and my staff.
“We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea.
“At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football.
“I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family – it feels amazing!”
Tuchel has already arrived at West London and he is expected to shuffle and reassign new positions to players.
Chelsea had stated that letting go of the former Blues player, captain, and then coach was no easy decision.
According to Director Marina Granovskaia, “It is never easy to change head coach in the middle of the season but we are very happy to secure one of Europe’s best coaches.
“There is still much to play for and much to achieve, this season and beyond. We welcome Thomas to the club.”
The club also released a statement after the sacking was made public, the Blues stated: “Recent results and performances have not met the club’s expectations, leaving the club mid-table without any clear path to sustained improvement.”
Stamford Bridge legend Lampard, who won three league titles with the club as a player, said: “I am proud of the achievements that we made.
“I am proud of the academy players that have made their step into the first team and performed so well. They are the future of the club.
“I am disappointed not to have had the time this season to take the club forward and bring it to the next level.”
Tuchel is not new to success but he is also not new to sacking either. He arrives in West London after being sacked as the Paris Saint-Germain head coach in December. During his time with the French side, he was able to secure the Ligue 1 title but that didn’t stop him from being sent out due to his toxic relationship with his employees. He was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino. Tuchel arrives at Chelsea which now seats ninth in the table and 12 points away from the top spot.
With as many as 5 defeats and only 2 wins in the last eight league games, bringing Tuchel seemed to be the best choice for the club. The German is set to bring in his special coaching tactics as well as a number of his favoured backroom members into the team.
While Tuchel has seen some success as a coach, he wasn’t the most memorable player. His low-key playing career ended at the age of 25 due to a knee injury. He later worked as a barman before starting a coaching career in charge of Ausburg II. He then progressed to manage Mainz in 2009 and then started off a highly-rated career as Borussia Dortmund coach.
With Tuchel at Chelsea, everything is expected to change and the blues can have an actual run for the title. It has been 4 years and 4 seasons since the blues last held the title with Antonio Conte taking the lead. They were also toppers in 2014 having won the league title with Jose Mourinho in charge.
Since then, the club has been struggling to stay afloat. Though they’ve fared better than Arsenal in the last few seasons, still, it has been pretty difficult for the club to get a suitable coach to end the trophy drought. Though it’s his first time coaching an English side, Tuchel seems to be the best man for the job and Chelsea fans and gamers all over the world can only hope for the best.
