Tributes paid to Aigburth charity shop victim as man charged

The family of a man killed at an Aigburth charity shop have paid tribute to him.

Victor Alexandrov Maroukian was pronounced dead following the incident at Remar UK Furniture in Aigburth Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The 36-year-old from Salford in Greater Manchester had been working as a volunteer for the past five years, his family have said.

Maroukian has also been described him as ‘a man with strong Christian beliefs’ that ‘always wanted to help other people’.

Police have confirmed that a 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of his murder has now been charged.

Boyan Antonov, also from Salford, will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today.
