Farhad Moshiri is set to visit two sites on Friday in efforts to resolve Everton’s new stadium development.
Moshiri will lead a delegation from Goodison Park as they assess the viability of moving to an arena built in either Bramley-Moore Dock or Stonebridge Cross.
A stadium on the Liverpool waterfront remains the preferred option, with the club currently locked in talks with Bramley-Moore’s landowners Peel Holdings.
The cost of purchasing the lease for the dockland is understood to stand at upwards £20 million.
But the Blues’ largest shareholder will also look at the viability of the council-owned Stonebridge Cross site in Croxteth as a future alternative to Goodison.
Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson previously hinted that a definitive outcome on Everton’s 15-year search for a new home would be settled ‘in a couple of months‘.
