Helen Flanagan has joined the cast of Rita, Sue & Bob Too for its Liverpool run.
The Coronation Street star will appear as Michelle in the stage production of Andrea Dunbar’s cult classic comedy which comes to the city’s Olympia next year.
Best known for her role as Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, she also previously reprised the role of Catherine in Shelagh Stephenson’s The Memory of Water.
Helen joins X Factor contestant and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here runner-up Jake Quickenden, who plays the role of Bob in the adaptation of the 1987 film.
Director Chantelle Joseph said: “I’m thrilled to announce the wonderful Helen Flanagan is joining the cast of Rita, Sue and Bob Too which is due to embark on its second nationwide tour next spring.
“I know she will bring real energy and brilliant comic timing to the role of Michelle – the vivacious but long-suffering wife of Bob, who is played once again by Jake Quickenden.
“Rita, Sue and Bob Too was a huge success for us when we took it on tour in 2025, and I can promise audiences up and down the country are going to love Andrea Dunbar’s classic comedy just as much as we do.”
Further casting is yet to be announced ahead of the national tour, which begins at St Helens Theatre Royal on April 16, 2027 before a five-night run at the Olympia.
Rita, Sue & Bob Too runs at Liverpool Olympia from June 30 until July 4, 2027.
