Jurgen Klopp hinted at potential issues with Mamadou Sakho’s behaviour during a PR stunt on Liverpool’s pre-season tour of America.
Sakho has been ordered to continue his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury on Merseyside after being sent home from the Reds’ base in California.
The France defender interrupted an interview Klopp conducted with Liverpool’s official website during a visit to the former Alcatraz prison.
During a lighthearted exchange with Sakho, the Liverpool manager alluded to possible reasons for the player’s deposition amid concerns about his personal attitude.
“Only one of us came late last night, for departure in Liverpool,” revealed Klopp.
“It was not me, it was you by the way.”
