Everton remain undeterred in their bid to appoint Steve Walsh as the club’s new Director of Football.
Leicester City have rebuffed an approach from the Blues for their head of recruitment, who was influential in the signings of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante, among others.
Walsh recently signed a two-year extension with the Premier League champions but Everton are still intent on implementing the former Chelsea scout within their new set-up.
The Chorley-born scout is understood to be keen on exploring the possibility of a move to Goodison Park, where he would work alongside manager Ronald Koeman on transfers.
