Protein Works has unveiled its new £10 million headquarters in Speke.
The fast-growing health and wellness brand’s state-of-the-art base at PW Campus marks a significant milestone in the company’s development.
Operations will be consolidated from multiple sites in Runcorn into one purpose-built facility at the cutting edge of innovation and expansion.
Standing at 100,000 sq ft, PW Campus brings together its production, fulfilment, marketing, and technology teams under one roof for the first time.
With advanced manufacturing capabilities, efficiency-driving technology, and dedicated space for future growth, the facility will enable the business to scale past £100M in revenue with zero limitations on how fast that can be achieved.
The new campus has been entirely self-funded, demonstrating the company’s financial strength and commitment to reinvestment in both its infrastructure and the Liverpool City Region.
It also enables Protein Works to attract top talent and expand its team, with a 20% increase in headcount expected in key areas such as marketing, technology, and data, bringing new jobs and expertise to the region.
The move comes after over a decade of uninterrupted growth and a record-breaking 2024, which saw a 40 per cent increase in turnover and record profits. In July 2025, the brand also celebrated selling its 400 millionth shake.
Laura Keir, Protein Works’ CEO, said: “This is more than just a new building.
“It’s a symbol of how far we’ve come, and where we’re going next.
“At a time when many others in our industry have been facing challenges, we’re proud to be able to create best-in-class jobs and contribute to the economic growth of the North West.
“With everything under one roof, we can operate smarter, move faster, and innovate more boldly than ever before.
“As a driven business, we’re deeply committed to expanding our capabilities in AI and technology to enhance decision-making and improve service for our customers.
“I believe our new campus and city location will be a catalyst in bringing that vision to life.”
As part of the move, Joseph Hook has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO). Since joining the business last year, Hook has played a pivotal role in overseeing the operational transition to PW Campus.
He brings extensive experience from previous roles at THG, Valeo Confectionery, and Saica Packaging, with expertise in engineering, project delivery, and operational transformation.
The move comes hot on the heels of Protein Works being named as one of the Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work, where the business scored highly across all areas, with particularly high rankings against industry benchmarks for job satisfaction, empowerment and confidence in management.
