Everton are said to be confident that Axel Witsel will become a part of Ronald Koeman’s new reign.
Witsel has attracted a host of interest during Belgium’s run to the Euro 2016 quarter-final and the midfielder has made no secret that he is looking to leave Zenit St Petersburg after four years in Russia.
Juventus, AC Milan and the Blues’ arch rivals Liverpool have all registered their interest however that chase has since been narrowed down a two-way battle between Everton and Napoli.
Sky Italia reported that Witsel will make a decision imminently and inform both clubs so that a transfer can be completed.
Should the transfer be finalised, he could become Everton’s record signing after Romelu Lukaku signed for a similar fee two years ago.
