Euro 2016 quarter-finalist opens talks with Everton FC

Poland winger Kamil Grosicki has emerged as one of Ronald Koeman potential early recruits as Everton manager.

The Rennes flyer remains a long-term target of the Dutchman and has been an integral part of his country’s side that has reached Thursday’s Euro 2016 quarter-final with Portugal.

And reports in Grosicki’s homeland suggest that talks between the 28-year-old and the Blues have opened as Koeman is keen to add fresh pace to the ranks at Goodison Park.

Przeglad Sportowy claim that Thomas Kroth, the player’s agent, met with Everton officials on Tuesday in anticipation of a potential £10 million move to England.

But Grosicki, 28, is also attracting the interest of other clubs, namely Premier League counterparts Sunderland as well as a potentially lucrative switch to the Abu Dhabi-based Al Wahda.

Koeman is set to be armed with a £100M transfer war chest by Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri in an effort to revive the club’s fortunes following a disastrous two seasons under his predecessor Roberto Martinez.
