Three Liverpool players are set to return to the club ahead of schedule.
Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones will make early returns to the AXA Training Centre after coming through the first half of October’s international break.
Salah left Egypt’s camp after scoring in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over Mauritania on Friday and had been due to play in next week’s return fixture.
But the Pharaohs’ head coach Hossam Hassan offered his players the opportunity to withdraw from the game due to the state of their hosts’ artificial playing surface.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, was sent off in the Netherlands’ Nations League draw with Hungary after picking up two bookings in quick succession on Friday evening.
Elsewhere, the Football Association confirmed that Jones will play no part in England’s Nations League encounter with Finland due to a ‘personal commitment’.
It means that Arne Slot will have the trio at his disposal for a slightly longer period in the run-up to his side’s Premier League home clash with Chelsea next weekend.
