Everton have withdrawn their latest points deduction appeal to the Premier League.
An independent commission imposed a two-point sanction on Sean Dyche’s side last month for a breach of Profit and Sustainability Regulations in the 2022/23 campaign.
Goodison Park officials appealed against the ruling, which came just months after they saw a 10-point deduction reduced to six, with a ruling expected by late May.
But the Blues confirmed on Friday that they will no longer be seeking to reduce the original penalty, which was due to be resolved before the end of the current season.
“Everton Football Club has withdrawn its appeal of the decision by a Premier League Independent Commission to impose a two-point deduction on the club for a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules for the accounting period ending in June 2023,” confirmed a club statement.
“A hearing, scheduled for later this month, will now not proceed, and the club will conclude the 2023/24 Premier League season with the two-point deduction remaining in place.”
