Steven Gerrard rejoins Liverpool Legends

Steven Gerrard will line up again for Liverpool Legends against Ajax.

The LFC Foundation charity match sees a host of former Anfield heroes going head-to-head against their Dutch counterparts on Saturday, March 23.

Gerrard previously lined up for the Reds’ legends team in their game with Celtic last year during which he opened the scoring as part of a 2-0 victory.

Joining the former midfielder in gracing their former stomping ground will be one-time sparring partner Fernando Torres, who was previously confirmed.

Also in the hosts’ squad are several of Gerrard’s one-time teammates including Jerzy Dudek, Sami Hyypia, Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez.

Ex-England manager and lifelong Liverpool fan Sven-Goran Eriksson will be in the dugout alongside Kop idols Ian Rush, John Aldridge and John Barnes.

Ajax are set to field the likes of Jari Litmanen and Ryan Babel, who represented both clubs, Rafael van der Vaart and Ronald de Boer.

Almost 55,000 fans have secured their seat so far and tickets are priced at £28 for adults, £8 for juniors and £18 for over-65s.

They are available to purchase online here, while disabled supporters can visit the Accessibility Hub for full details.
