Martin Skrtel is expected to end his Liverpool career this week with a move to Fenerbahce.
Skrtel remains one of Anfield’s longest-serving players, only surpassed by Lucas Leiva, but has fallen out of favour since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival as Reds manager.
Since the turn of 2016, the Slovakian made only four starts as Klopp opted for Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure to partner Dejan Lovren at the heart of Liverpool’s defence.
Offers from a host of clubs in world football, including Germany and the money-spinning Chinese Super League, have been made to Skrtel but he has turned to Turkey in a bid to revive his career.
Liverpool have accepted a £5.5 million bid from Fenerbahce, according to the Guardian, for the veteran centre-back.
