Premier League fixtures: Ronald Koeman and Everton FC face Spurs test

New Everton manager Ronald Koeman will face an opening day baptism of fire against Tottenham.

Last season’s Premier League runners-up are set to travel to Goodison Park for the curtain-raiser on August 13 as the Dutchman looks to kickstart his Blues reign.

That will be followed by a trip to West Bromwich Albion a week later before Mark Hughes takes Stoke City to his one-time stomping ground at the end of August.

Koeman will come up against Southampton for the first time when the Toffees travel to St Mary’s on November 26 while the South Coast club will travel to Goodison on January 2.

The first Merseyside derby of the season will once again be a home affair as Everton prepare to host Liverpool on December 17, before travelling across Stanley Park for the return fixture on April 1.

December will be a largely unenviable run-in for Koeman’s side with home clashes against Manchester United and Arsenal preceding the Liverpool clash before seeing out the calendar year with trips to Leicester City and Hull City, on Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve respectively.

Everton’s season also will finish on the road, with Arsenal set to welcome them on May 21. All fixtures are subject to change.
