Szoboszlai relishing ‘perfect’ Liverpool move

Dominik Szoboszlai is relishing the start of his ‘perfect’ move to Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side completed the signing of the Hungary captain on Sunday after triggering the £60 million release clause in his RB Leipzig contract.

Szoboszlai produced six goals and eight assists in his final season with the Bundesliga outfit, including scoring in the club’s Germany Cup victory.

And the 22-year-old, who has been handed the no.8 shirt at Anfield, admits that he is already itching to make a mark after sealing his move to the Reds.

He said: “The last three or four days went really long; it was not that easy.

“But at the end I’m here, I’m happy and I can’t wait to get started.

“I was really happy [about Liverpool’s interest] but still I stayed calm because I didn’t want to be too early happy.

“First when the boss called me, I felt, OK, it can be a really good thing. At the end, yes, everything was perfect.”
