Mane breaks silence on his Liverpool future

Sadio Mane has broken his silence over his uncertain Liverpool future.

Mane will enter the final 12 months of his current contract with Jurgen Klopp’s side and recently emerged as a viable target for Bayern Munich this summer.

The Bundesliga champions are braced to lose talisman Robert Lewandowski, who has confirmed his plans to leave the club as a free agent on July 1.

Anfield chiefs remain keen to tie both Mane and his attacking cohort Mohamed Salah to extended deals amid looming uncertainty over the pair.

The Senegal international previously indicated that he would finally reveal where his long-term future lay after last weekend’s Champions League final.

Six days on, Mane offered a revealing response when the subject was broached before his country’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin.

He said: “Like everyone else, I’m on social media and I see the comments.

“Isn’t it between 60 to 70% of Senegalese want me to leave Liverpool?

“I will do what they want. We will see soon!

“Don’t be in a hurry because we will see this together. The future will tell us.”
