Ronald Koeman is reportedly on the verge of leaving Southampton to become Everton’s new manager.
NOS and Voetbal International were among a number of sources in the 53-year-old’s native Holland widely reporting that a deal to name him as Roberto Martinez’s successor is imminent.
Koeman has returned from his end-of-season holiday and is claimed to be heading to Merseyside with agent Rob Jansen to finalise talks that could see him confirmed as the new Blues boss in the coming days.
The former Barcelona player has remained at the top of Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri’s shortlist since Martinez’s sacking last month.
